Richard Dreyfuss was a rare Best Actor winner for a comedy for his work as an actor in 1977’s The Goodbye Girl. For about twenty-five years, he held the record for youngest Best Actor, until Adrien Brody. (Poor Richard Burton thought his name was going to be in the envelope.)
