365 Days of Oscar: Miranda Richardson’s Triple Play

In 1992, British actress Miranda Richardson took Hollywood by storm with work in three Oscar-friendly films: The Crying Game, Damage, and Enchanted April. She won a Globe for the last of those, and got a Supporting Actress nomination for her searing turn in Damage (pictured above). She lost to Marisa Tomei, and would again be nominated two years later for her lead role in Tom and Viv. (She lost to Jessica Lange in Blue Sky.)

Let’s give her another role worthy of a nomination!
