For all the talk of trauma and anxiety, no comedy (yes, comedy) hits the nail on the head better than Ramy, whose impeccably structured third season was the series best yet — and that is saying something. Hyphenate Ramy Youssef deserves to be recognized as actor, director, and writer, but his supporting players Hiam Abbas (now best known for Succession) and Amr Waked deserve recognition, as does the series itself.
