An addendum to unlucky season 13 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa gets married showed the fifty-year-old mother of four marry a second time to Luis Ruelas in the Garden State, with a gaudy $500,000 wedding bill footed at least in part by Bravo (see: invites that went out to Chanel Ayan, Cynthia Bailey, Ashley Darby (again)Dorinda Medley, Phaedra Parks, and Kenya Moore, among a few).
The episode was not all joy, however. Building on the season’s ongoing thread of the rift between Teresa and Joe, much of the talk was devoted to the Gorga’s decision not to attend the wedding – according to Teresa and her daughters, they never even contacted the bride to let her know; we saw Melissa tell Dolores, who told Teresa in the de facto season finale. But if your sister had her fiancé confront you with a made-up rumor about your wife cheating on you with the express purpose of breaking you up, would you or your wife go? I wouldn’t.
But I’m not sure what’s worse: Tre’s lies about loyalty or that 10,000 hairdo. Money can buy you a gargantuan wedding, but it can’t buy you class.
